Summer in Sydney

NOVEMBER

The festive season is on our doorstep again and we're giving all of our beloved customers in Australia an incentive to start their Christmas shopping early.

During November, Collect is offering FREE shipping to anywhere in Australia when you buy through our online store. All you need to do is type 'November' in the discount code and proceed to the checkout.

If you live local and prefer to pop in and see us at the store in Surry Hills, we have an offer for you too! In association with the NSW Governments Summer in Sydney campaign we are offering shoppers 10% off purchases made during Summer at the store. All you have to do is say the words, literally, 'Summer in Sydney'.

Stories in Form

UNTIL 8 JANUARY 2012

OPENS 27 JANUARY 2012

Object Eye, (our new blog) which can be found on the Object website, is currently profiling one HYPERCLAY artist each week, including a video on their process and images of the work.

This week we posted a video demonstration of Roderick Bamford’s 3D printer in Object Gallery, and an exploration by Bamford on the technicalities of 3D printing and how it applies to working with clay.

2012 launches with a bang, as we play host to a new exhibition featuring outstanding Australian designers and their stories.

Stories in Form will feature work by Elliat Rich, bernabeifreeman (Rina Bernabei & Kelly Freeman), Henry Wilson (recent winner of Bombay Sapphire 2011), Ben McCarthy and Cinnamon Lee.

See our website for more details!

Have a Say ...

Try This At Home considers how we are each designing the future.

Borrow a Natural Fuse unit to participate in a climate change-related social experiment, take part in free bike-power workshops, and visit its partner exhibition Curating Cities: Sydney – Copenhagen [Customs House, 17 - 27 November] to consider how art and design can effect sustainable urban transformations.

What excites you, dazzles, intrigues and scares you? What  have you seen recently and why did you love it? We want to know WHAT YOU WANT  from an exhibition, so we can create better programs for you!

Leave a comment on our blog, tweet it to us @ObjectAU, post it on our facebook page, or email us.

We’d love to hear your thoughts.
